A Life Story Told Across Europe
This Flaminia began life in style. It was delivered new to Paris, where it spent much of its early years with two French owners. It then headed home to Italy, where its first recorded Italian owner was Manlio Perrotta of Arezzo.
The car’s name has a story of its own. In true Lancia tradition, “Flaminia” was inspired by the great roads of ancient Rome. It comes from the Via Flaminia, which ran from Rome to the Adriatic coast. An extension of that route, the Via Flaminia Minor, crossed the Apennines between Bologna and Arezzo, which makes it a fitting link to this car’s first Italian keeper.

Restored the Right Way
Perrotta kept the car for over three years before it passed to Federico Bianchi. Under his ownership it received a comprehensive three-year restoration by Italian specialists. The work is extensively documented, and the car retains its original chassis, body and differential.
Lancia didn’t record engine numbers, so the engine can’t be proven original. However, according to the seller’s research, the unit fitted is believed to be the one delivered with the car.
