Cut intake temps by 6°C and unlock more power from your BMW M2 Competition. The Direnza uprated charge cooler has a 60% larger core. Fast UK delivery.

Keep Your M2 Competition Cool, Even When You Push It Hard

Your S55 engine makes its power by packing in boosted air. Heat is what holds that power back. After a few hard pulls, the standard charge cooler heat-soaks, intake temperatures climb and the car pulls timing. You feel it as lost performance.

The Direnza Performance Charge Cooler is a direct-fit upgrade for the BMW M2 Competition (F87). It is built to keep intake air cooler, lap after lap and pull after pull.

Key Features

  • +12.4hp and +3.4Nm for the M2 Competition.
  • Intake temperatures reduced by 6°C
  • 60% more core volume than the original unit
  • Up to 40% more cooling capacity than the standard system
  • Designed with 3D CAD and CFD modelling by Direnza’s in-house engineers
  • Direct replacement for the original charge cooler, with no modifications needed
  • TIG welded for strength, durability and a clean finish
  • Aircraft-grade aluminium construction

Built for Track Days, Spirited Drives and Everything in Between

Whether you drive your M2 Competition hard on track or enjoy it on a back road, heat soak affects every performance driver. The Direnza charge cooler gives you the cooling headroom to keep making power when the standard part has had enough.

Direnza’s engineers developed it using advanced 3D CAD and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling. The result is a bigger core and a smarter internal design, and it is the strongest cooling upgrade in this price bracket for your F87.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminium, TIG Welded

Aluminium is known for its excellent thermal conductivity, which is why aircraft-grade alloy is the material of choice for efficient heat exchange. Direnza TIG welds every unit. Compared with MIG welding, TIG gives a more precise finish and puts less stress on the material. The result is a charge cooler that is stronger, lasts longer and looks good in the engine bay.

Proven on the Dyno

Direnza tested the charge cooler on a Maha MSR 500 dyno, comparing it against the standard M4 Competition part under the same conditions.

Dyno testing was carried out on Direnza’s BMW M4 test vehicle. The M2 Competition shares the same S55 engine and charge cooler layout.

Fitment

  • BMW M2 Competition (F87), 2018 onwards
  • BMW M3 (F80), 2014 onwards
  • BMW M4 (F82/F83), 2014 onwards
